Day 1
Day 01 – Arrival in Srinagar

Meet our representative upon arrival in Srinagar and proceed to your houseboat at Dal Lake. This place is famous for its
lakes and charming houseboats, Srinagar is also known for traditional Kashmiri handicrafts. The lake comprises a
series of water bodies, including Nagin Lake. One can take in the panoramic view of the mountains surrounding
Srinagar from this lake. Kashmiri boats called Shikara, are used to explore the intricate maze of waterways on this lake.
In the evening, visit the popular Mughal gardens – Shalimar and Nishat, followed by a memorable Shikara-ride on Dal Lake.
Overnight stay in houseboat.

SIGHTSEEING : Dal Lake

Dal is a lake in Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir. The urban lake, which is the second largest in the state, is integral to tourism and recreation in Kashmir and is named the Jewel in the crown of Kashmir or Srinagar Jewel.

SIGHTSEEING : Mughal Gardens

Mughal gardens are a group of gardens built by the Mughals in the Persian style of architecture. This style was heavily influenced by the Persian gardens particularly the Charbagh structure. Significant use of rectilinear layouts are made within the walled enclosures.

SIGHTSEEING : Shikara Boat Ride

The shikara is a type of wooden boat found on Dal Lake and other water bodies of Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir, India. Shikaras are of varied sizes and are used for multiple purposes, including transportation of people. A usual shikara seats half-a-dozen people, with the driver paddling at the rear. Like the Venetian gondolas, they are a cultural symbol of Kashmir. Some shikaras are still used for fishing, harvesting aquatic vegetation (usually for fodder), and transport, while most are covered with tarpaulins and are used by tourists. Some are used as floating homes by poor people

Day 2
Day 02 – Gulmarg Excursion (One way 50 kms / approx 2 hrs)

After breakfast drive to Gulmarg, ‘Meadow of Flowers situated at an altitude of 2730 meters, full day at leisure to take
walks on the lush green meadows of flowers with a backdrop of the snow-capped mountains. Enjoy local sightseeing of
Gulmarg and Gandola-ride (cable car). By evening return to Srinagar for dinner and overnight stay in houseboat.

Baltal, 15 km East of Sonamarg is the access point to the sacred cave of Amarnathji which is open to public from June to August every year. Sonamarg is 3 hours journey by car and the road runs along the Sindh river, making it one of the most enjoyable drive. Overall, our trip to this picturesque valley was full of adventure and allowed us to soak ourselves in nature.

Day 3

Day 03 – Srinagar – Sonmarg – Kargil (200 kms / approx 6 hrs)

After breakfast, drive towards Sonmarg - the Meadow of Gold. The drive to Sonmarg is another spectacular facet of
the countryside in Sindhu Valley. The Sindhu Valley is the largest tributary of the valley of Kashmir. Drive to Kargil involves
road passes through the panoramic villages, reach Sonamarg (2740 Mtrs). Drive through Zojila pass 3527 Mtrs (Gateway
of Ladakh) and continue driving towards Drass (The second coldest inhabited place in the world). Another two and half
hours drive will take you to Kargil (2710 Mtrs) which has got its importance after opening the Ladakh for tourists in 1974.

SIGHTSEEING : Sindhu Ghat

"Sindhu Ghat is a beautiful riverbank, situated near the Shey village in Leh. It is known for its unique and scenic landscape, which is consists of barren mountains, rocky terrains, sparse greenery and the Sindhu River traversing the region. The Sindhu River, known as Indus in English, originates near Mansarovar Lake in Tibet and passes through the distinct terrains of India before reaching its confluence in Pakistan. This river is counted amongst the seven prime sacred rivers of the country. Apart from its religious significance, the river earns fame as a cultural entity and symbol of communal harmony. This riverbank is the venue of a famous cultural event, which is named Ladakh Singhey Khabab Spring Festival. Celebrated annually, this three-day festival takes place in the month of June, on the occasion of Guru Purnima – the auspicious day of full moon. It is dedicated to the sacred river and is attended by people from surrounding as well as far-flung regions. The festival begins with a ritual that is performed by 50 Buddhist lamas along the riverside. Cultural programmes are organised at the venue that are followed by a short sightseeing trip, campfire and get-together. The third day is marked by a religious ceremony called Sindhu Pujan, during which the river is worshipped. Apart from being the venue of the famous festival, Sindhu Ghat is an apt place for river rafting. The gurgling waters of this river provide a perfect opportunity for the thrilling activity."

SIGHTSEEING : Drass Valley

The Drass valley starts from the base of the Zojila pass, the Himalayan gateway to Ladakh. For centuries its inhabitants are known to have negotiated this formidable pass even during the most risky period in the late autumn or early spring, when the whole sector remains snow-bound and is subject to frequent snow storms, to transport traders merchandise across and to help stranded travellers to traverse it. By virtue of their mastery over the pass they had established a monopoly over the carrying trade during the heydays of the Pan-Asian trade. A hardly people enduring with fortitude and harshness of the valley winter, the inhabitants of Drass can well be described as the guardians of Ladakh gateway. The inhabitants here are Dard and Muslims. There is a bank and tourist bungalow in Drass.

Day 04 – Kargil – Leh (210 kms / 6 hrs)

Depart from Kargil after early breakfast, en-route visiting the monastery of Lamayuru passing through Namkila & Fatula
Passes, The highest pass on the Srinagar-Leh road. On way enjoy sightseeing of 1000-year-old Alchi monastery, the only
Gompa in Ladakh region on flat ground. Thereafter proceed to the Likir Monastery to visit the splendid three stories
Dharma Wheel Gompa. Here you'll be awestruck with the sight of the massive Buddha statues. Indus & Zanskar River
‘Sangam’ is the next highlight, drive along the Indus river and stop-over at Pathar Sahib Gurdwara. Upon reaching Leh, check-in
at the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

SIGHTSEEING : Lamayuru Monastery

Lamayuru Monstery is a famous Buddhist Monatery in Leh district, at a height of 11520 ft.Lamayuru monastery is said to be the oldest as well as the largest in Ladakh.This Monastery was a collection of five gigantic building out of which only one survives now,still remains the largest monastery.The Monastery houses about 150 Buddhist monks permanently, in earlier days the number was 400.The Monatery is also famous for a worth visiting festival called the mask festival as the monks were different mask during the ceremony.

Alchi Monastery is situated in the bank of Indus River and shares a distance of 70 km from Leh.It is Considered as one of the oldest Buddhist learning centers in Northern India.Alchi is an ancient Monastery,constructed by Guru Rinchen Zangpo between 958 and 1055 AD.The elaborate artwork along with wood carving and the amazing huge ancient statues of Buddha attract the tourists from all around.Tourists across the globe explore this place just to enjoy the heavenly beauty and to experience the ancient architecture of the monastery temples.

Day 05 – Visit Shanti Stupa and Leh Palace

It is advisable to relax and acclimatize to such a high-altitude region. Post lunch visit Shanti Stupa - Built-in 1991 by
Japanese monks to promote world peace, this large, hilltop stupa has brightly colored reliefs on its midlevel and is topped
by a spired white hemisphere. The greatest attraction is the stunning view of Leh. Ideally, make the breathless 15-minute
climb when golden afternoon light still illuminates the city but the steps up from Changspa are already bathed in cooling
shadow. Later, visit Leh Palace – A nine-story dun-colored palace of the 17th century. Today the very sturdy walls are mostly
unadorned, but it’s gently thrilling to weave your way through the maze of dark corridors, hidden stairways, and
makeshift ladders to reach the rooftop for great views across the city. You can seek out the small palace prayer room
and a one-room exhibition showing photos of state monuments. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight stay

SIGHTSEEING : Shanti Stupa leh

Shanti Stupa is a white-domed Buddhist stupa on a hilltop in Leh. The Stupa was built in 1991 by Japanese Buddhist Bhikshu who was the part of Peace Pagoda mission.There is a huge idol of Buddha placed inside the Stupa which was enshrined by the 14th Dalai Lama..The stupa has become a tourist attraction not only due to its religious significance but also due to its location which provides panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.The beauty of Shanti Stupa takes a level up at night, especially during the full moon night when it is naturally illuminated by the moonlight.

SIGHTSEEING : Leh Palace, Leh

Leh Palace is a former royal palace overlooking the Ladakhi Himalayan town of Leh. The palace was built by King Sengge Namgyal in the 16th century. Leh Palace is nine storeys high, the upper floors accommodated the royal family, while the lower floors held stables and store rooms.Leh Palace is an excellent example of medieval Tibetan architecture.The walls of the palace was constructed with wood and mud helps keep the scorching heat away, thus the palace has a soothing and pleasant temperature inside.The entrance of the palace is decorated with wood carved figurines. The roof top of the palace provides spectacular views of the mountain and the entire town which attracts the tourist from all around.

Day 06 – Driver over (Khardungla Pass) – Nubra Valley and Hundur Sand Dunes (160 kms / approx. 5 hrs)

Check-out from the hotel after breakfast and drive over Khardungla - the World's highest motorable road at 18832 feet
above sea level. At Khardungla pass the snow-capped peaks and the mountain views are amazing. The road then passes
through a bridge laid on Glacier which finds its way in Guinness Book of world records, drive through the Valley which is
extremely beautiful for photography. Nubra Valley is the Oasis of Ladakh as you see some colorful trees in this region.
Later reach your campsite and visit the Sand Dunes. You are likely to get a sight of double-humped Bactrian camels,
enjoy time at the Sand Dunes of Nubra valley spread across Hundur Village. Dinner and overnight at the camp

SIGHTSEEING : Khardung La Pass

Khardung La is a mountain pass in the Ladakh region of Jammu and Kashmir.It lies north of Leh and is the gateway to the Shyok and Nubra valleys.The elevation of Khardung La is 17,582 ft.It is a famous attraction for adventure seekers.Biking at Khardung La Pass is something visitors shouldnot miss. It was opened to public motor vehicles in 1988 and has since seen many automobile, motorbike and mountain biking expeditions. The pass is historically important also as it lies on the major caravan route from Leh to Kashgar in Central Asia. The thrill of visiting the highest pass in the world will churn up your emotions.

Nubra is a tri-armed valley located to the north east of Ladakh valley.The original name of Nubra was Ldumra which means valley of flowers.The average altitude of the valley is about 10,000 ft. above the sea level..The valley offers tremendous scenery on a grand scale, with green oasis villages surrounded by thrillingly stark scree slopes, boulder fields and harsh arid mountains. It is one of the must visit places in Ladakh if you are visiting for the first time.

Day 07 – Drive back to Leh through Lakes and Diskit Monastery

After breakfast, proceed to Diskit monastery, which is 515 years old situated on a hilltop giving a panoramic view of the
valley. Later walk around the town of Diskit which has a small village market and giant Buddha statue. Proceed for the
tour of Samsthaling, Panamik, Yaraptso Lake along with the splendid view of the Karakoram Himalayan Range.
Samsthaling is situated on the mountainside just above sumur. This was the route taken by the trade caravans, and
Panamik, the last village on this circuit, was at that time a busy center, the last major settlement before the caravans.
Proceed back to Leh cross Khardungla Pass once again and reach Leh. Dinner and overnight stay at the Hotel in Leh.

Day 08 – Leh – Drive to Pangong Lake (225 kms / approx. 6 hrs)

After breakfast, leave for Pangong Lake (14,500 ft), through Changla Pass 17,350 ft., it is the third highest motor-able
road in the world. Pangong Lake is the highest saltwater Lake in the World, shared by two countries India & China. Enjoy
the beauty of the lake on the Banks of Pangong Lake while appreciating the changing colors and fascinating high-altitude
of the Lake. Witness the total silence which creates an incomparable meditative atmosphere, also enjoy the spectacular

SIGHTSEEING : Pangong Lake

Pangong Lake, is an endorheic lake in the Himalayas situated at a height of about 14,270 ft. The Lake is 134 km long and extends from India to China. Approximately 60 of the lake lies in China. The lake is 5 km wide at its broadest point. The lake freezes completely during winters, despite being saline water. The Lake has no fish or other aquatic life in the lake, except for some small crustaceans, but there are numerous ducks and gulls over and on the lake surface. There is a variety of birds including a number of migratory birds and a number of species of wildlife including the kiang and the Marmot.

SIGHTSEEING : hemis monastery leh

Hemis Monastery is the most popular tourist attraction in Ladakh.It is a Tibetan Buddhist monastery which is Situated at a distance of 45 km from Leh. It was re-established in 1672 by the Ladakhi king Sengge Namgyal. The annual Hemis festival honoring Padmasambhava is held here in early June.The Monastery has a beautiful architecture, which is quite interesting to witness. There is a museum also that exhibits a large collection of Buddhist relics and several ancient items that suggest there existed a rich culture here.

  • In case client wishes to prepone /postpone his or her travel dates, we request you to kindly reach us 15 days prior to journey date via e-mail only.

  • The customers can prepone /postpone their tour once without any additional charges (if intimated before 15 days of travel date in written). However postponing & preponing second time will attract additional charges.

  • Also note that few service providers (Hoteliers, Transporter etc.) may apply postpone/prepone charges even after meeting above requirement. In such cases postpone/prepone charges will deducted from the advance amount deposited.

  • In all prepone or postpone scenarios, the services and the costing will be subject to availability of Hotel/Transport and season/off season time.
